Idletymes Bluegrass
The Idletymes band hosts the Poston Lake Bluegrass Festival. Check it out!!!
Idletymes offers a unique blend of hard driving, straight forward bluegrass music with tight, high harmonies as well as an impressive portfolio of original songs. This band has been around since 1985 and is comprised of talented musicians with deep bluegrass roots.

These men combine to create a sound that is sure to astound any audience. Whether its a traditional quartet gospel hymn or a scorching fast banjo and fiddle tune, this band delivers with great musicianship and raw emotion.
Congratulations to Richie Jones from Alum Bridge, WV for winning the handcrafted Eddie Gray Guitar! Richie purchased the winning ticket on the guitar which was drawn at the June 2010 Poston Lake Bluegrass Festival!!! Thanks again to Eddie Gray for donating the guitar, proceeds from which went toward the Poston Lake Festival!!! Thanks to all who participated.

HISTORY:
Over the years the Idletymes band has performed throughout the midwestern United States (from Virgina to Missouri and Georgia to Minnesota). We have had the opportunity to meet many facinating people along the way. We have also competed in some regional and national contests. We have won some and in others, well, not quite so momorable... One of our proudest moments was the last time we played in the SPBGMA International Band Competition. We came in 5th place! This was a big honor for us considering we were competing with some really great bands from across the US. We look forward to meeting new folks and seeing old friends as we are out and about, please take a minute to stop say hello.
